Emerald Springs was once your run-of-the mill highway roadhouse serving microwaved pies and instant coffee to tired truckies, with the customary row of Harleys parked out the front. 

It was closed for four years before Dallas and Belinda saw it, bought it and spent 12 months breathing new life into it. They overhauled the buildings, fully upgraded the bar and kitchen and added the deck, beer garden, accommodation and caravan park. A gorgeous Buley Rockhole-style pool will be added this year. 

Emerald Springs evolved with the feedback from its many guests – both beloved regulars and one-time visitors – whose suggestions and advice were crucial in turning this place around. If they shared what they wanted, Dallas and Belinda strove to make it happen.

But they’re not finished yet. 

Dallas and Belinda have big plans for this place. The wheels are in motion to transform Emerald Springs into one of the Top End’s best getaways with 10 new, eco-friendly cabins to be constructed around Lake Emerald in the next couple of years. 

But even though they’re adding a layer of luxury, it’ll still all be done in Emerald Springs style. Where nothing is ‘usual’, the service is always personal, and going out of their way is just the way they do things. 

Please call in and say g’day when you’re next driving past. As one of Dallas’s many sayings goes: “you’re a visitor in our home, you’re just paying to use the toilets!”
